After military service, Dr. Joseph Domingues entered public education, where he spent two decades employed as a teacher, head wrestling coach, counselor, and high school principal. Additionally, he served as a Visiting Instructor for the California college system. In 2020, Dr. Domingues departed education to continue his joy of service to people by rewiring into coaching.  

Today Dr. Domingues is the owner of Self-Leadership-Systems (SLS), LLC. SLS is an Integrated Human Development-Performance coaching business that focuses on integrated self-transformation. His coaching focus ranges from military service members, veterans, and first responders to high performers and those who simply are searching for a repurposed version of self. His lifelong practiced passion is to serve others. His purpose is to coach others in integrated development and performance in moving the needle toward growth. His principled belief is that helping just one person become a more holistically integrated leader of self positively influences our world. 

Dr. Domingues is a U.S. Navy and Army Reserve veteran who served overseas in several sanction enforcement and peacekeeping operations. He also served within the Chaplain Corps in supporting the chaplaincy mission of service member counseling and moral care. 

In 2011, Dr. Domingues became part of the first graduating class of the Unbeatable Mind (U.M.) Academy Foundations course. Dr. Domingues is a certified and licensed Unbeatable Mind Coach. He is also a Certified Master Trainer from the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA). He holds a B.A. degree in Social Sciences, an M.A. degree in Teaching from Chapman University, and a Doctor of Education from the University of Phoenix.
