“All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake up in the day to find it was vanity, but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.” T.E. Lawrence

I have been a commercial solicitor in the UK for over 25 years, spending more than half of that time as the head of legal and strategic advisor at C-suite level in international technology and supply chain logistics companies. As well as being the head of legal, I was on the executive board of those companies, reporting directly to the CEO, and have worked for English, French, American and Japanese companies. The last of these companies was the £1 billion turnover UK subsidiary of a Fortune 500 American company.

Having read The Way of the SEAL, I started following the Unbeatable Mind system in 2015 as part of my own personal development, drawn by the idea of forging resiliency and mental toughness to succeed at an elite level. It worked, and I became a more integral and influential part of the executive board. Through my work on my own 3Ps and my One Thing, I came to realise that I was deriving a lot more fulfilment from helping my team exceed their potential than I was from legal matters, so I made the decision to retrain as an executive coach. When the opportunity to do this arose in 2019, I jumped at it, leaving the comfort of my legal career. It could not have been clearer to me that this meant training as an Unbeatable Mind coach, and I was delighted to qualify in August 2020.

I volunteer as the legal advisor to the UK Obstacle Sports Federation and the Team Nuts obstacle course racing team, and run and marshal at obstacle course races in the UK. I love being out in nature, especially in the mountains, and highlights have included hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu at the end of 2011, and taking on endurance events in the Brecon Beacons. While I have travelled extensively in Europe and North, Central and South America, there are still so many other parts of the world I want to explore.

Now I want to help the dreamers of the day make their dreams possible.
